چکیده

An efficient model-order reduction technique for general RLC networks is proposed. The method is extended from the previous projection-base moment matching method with considering both the circuit network and its corresponding adjoint network. By exploring symmetric properties of the MNA formulation, the proposed method needs only one half of the system moment information compared with the previous ones. Passivity of the reducedorder model is still preserved. The relationship between the adjoint network and the sensitivity analysis will also be discussed. Experimental results will demonstrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposal method.

Efficient Variational Interconnect Modeling for Statistical Timing Analysis by Combined Sensitivity Analysis and Model-Order Reduction

This paper describes an efficient method to directly generate variational delay and slew models for use in statistical timing analysis. The variational modeling is based on the adjoint method for computing the sensitivities of interconnect circuit timing performance, delay, slew, and loading, with respect to arbitrary design and process parameters in an efficient and incremental manner. The sen...

Flood Forecasting Using Artificial Neural Networks: an Application of Multi-Model Data Fusion technique

Floods are among the natural disasters that cause human hardship and economic loss. Establishing a viable flood forecasting and warning system for communities at risk can mitigate these adverse effects. However, establishing an accurate flood forecasting system is still challenging due to the lack of knowledge about the effective variables in forecasting. The present study has indicated that th...

Efficient Transmission Line Modeling Sensitivity Analysis Exploiting Rubber Cells

The adjoint variable method is applied for the first time to perform sensitivity analysis with transmission line modeling exploiting rubber cells. Rubber cells allow for the conformal modeling of off-grid boundaries in the transmission line modeling computational domain using modified tensor properties. The scattering matrix of the rubber cell is analytically dependent on the dimensions of the ...

Scalable Parameter Estimation for Genome-Scale Biochemical Reaction Networks

Mechanistic mathematical modeling of biochemical reaction networks using ordinary differential equation (ODE) models has improved our understanding of small- and medium-scale biological processes. While the same should in principle hold for large- and genome-scale processes, the computational methods for the analysis of ODE models which describe hundreds or thousands of biochemical species and ...
